These terms govern the use of the Google Sheets add-on "VAT Checker for Sheets" (the "Service"), published by a sole trader established in France (the "Publisher"). By installing the Service you accept them.
The Service provides a =VAT() function that displays, inside Google Sheets, the validity of EU VAT numbers and the related public company data from the European Commission's VIES service (and the INSEE Sirene register for French numbers). The Publisher is not affiliated with the European Commission, INSEE or Google.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC, acting as Merchant of Record and issuing the invoice. Applicable VAT is added according to your country.
For EU consumers, the 14-day right of withdrawal applies unless you expressly requested immediate performance and acknowledged losing that right. If in doubt, write to us: we refund the first month, no questions asked.
You may not use the Service to resell the data as such, to circumvent VIES or INSEE rate limits, or in a way that harms its availability. The Publisher may suspend an account in case of manifest abuse, after notice.
Data comes from official public sources and is provided "as is". VIES answers are produced by each member state and may be temporarily unavailable. The Publisher does not guarantee completeness or accuracy and cannot be held liable for decisions made on that basis. The Service does not deliver an official VIES consultation number; use the official VIES website when you need one.
The Service depends on Google Apps Script, VIES and the INSEE API. The Publisher makes reasonable efforts to keep it running but does not guarantee continuous availability. In case of prolonged unavailability (more than 7 consecutive days), Pro subscribers may request a refund of the affected month.
The Publisher's liability is limited to the amounts paid during the last 12 months. The Service is not legal, accounting or tax advice.
The Service's code remains the Publisher's property. The data displayed is public data from the European Commission and the French State (open licence).
